The Actors’ Society is a community of actors who are striving to get ahead in their career development. To ensure the Society is a catering for your needs and maximising your potential, we have introduced three membership categories. This is in order to have more focused seminars, events and information for people at different stages of their career development.

Professional: An actor with 6 or more professional jobs at Equity minimum rate in the last 12 months or if you can prove a history of consistent employment in the acting profession whether corporate or commercial.

Graduate: A graduate from acting education within the last 24 months or has just been introduced to the industry with a minimum of 3 professional jobs.

Amateur: An enthusiast who expresses an interest in developing and learning about the acting craft and have been involved in 3 or more amateur productions such as community workshops and theatre productions.

After completing the form below, your membership will be reviewed by one of our team and you will receive an email and Welcome Pack if your application has been approved. Membership costs just £20 per year and you will be contacted annually to give you the option of renewal. Please note, you are under no obligation to renew and previous Society members are always welcome to reapply at anytime using the online application form.

All purchases will be processed upon completion of the form below. Subscriptions are processed and managed through PayPal.

This fee will ensure that you can access the website and our exclusive seminars. In addition, you will also receive membership benefits including discounts on workshops, networking functions, industry events, photography offers and lots more. Please refer to our website for current discounts available.

Read carefully: In order for a successful application you are required to have an online profile with Spotlight, Casting Call Pro or a personal website with links to a CV. To ensure the quality of our seminars for other members, and for you to benefit most from the Society, we ask you to be honest when selecting your skill level. Any false applications are likely to be unsuccessful.

Discounts & Competitions

By entering a competition or using one of the discounts run by The Actors’ Society, you agree to the applicable terms and conditions detailed on this website in the respective sections. TAS reserves the right to disqualify you as winner or terminate your discount should any of the terms be broken.

All discounts are monitored by The Actors’ Society to ensure that they are not abused. Only the holder of the The Actors’ Society membership card can receive the above discounts. If, for any reason, the service proprietor has any reason to believe you are not the card holder, it is at their discretion to offer a discount. Any reported abuse of membership discounts will result in the termination of your account.

Payment & Refunds

When making payments through PayPal you are required to accepts Paypal’s terms and conditions which can be found on their website. PayPal provides a secure payment service, we accept no responsibility for any problems or losses experiences when using this service. All payment issues whilst using PayPal’s service must be addressed to PayPal.

Refunds for an event or seminar can be requested and processed up to 72 hours before the event or seminars scheduled start. No refunds will be processed after this time. You have agreed to accept these terms upon you purchase.

The terms and conditions are governed by English law and you and The Actors’ Society submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts. Your statutory rights are not affected.
