The Female Lens
An evening of screenings, presentations and networking to showcase the talent, voice and ideas of women directors.
filmdirecting4women will be holding its first monthly networking event, The Female Lens, on Wednesday 27 January at The Square Pig, 30-32 Proctor Street, London, WC1R 4QG (nearest tube Holborn) from 7pm onwards.
The evening will include screenings of independent short films by women directors, Q&As and presentations on upcoming projects together with speed and casual networking with the aim of promoting and furthering the work of female directors and bringing them together with potential collaborators.
If you are interested in submitting a film to be screened at the event or in presenting an upcoming project, please email us at including a brief synopsis of the film or project.
Submissions can be of any genre and there is no restriction on year made, however, submissions of films and project presentations are invited from women directors only.
The event itself will be open to anyone, male or female, interested in seeing the work of emerging women directors, as well as actors and filmmakers who are looking to make connections and collaborate on future projects.
Admission price: Members/Associate Members £3 Non-members £7
Membership is £22 and provides substantial discounts off courses, film entry to the festival (Sept 2010), as well as access to a production fund and lots more…
Associate Membership is £12 and offers discounted entry to all networking events.

filmdirecting4women teaches directing skills to women in an enjoyable, jargon free way which quickly builds confidence.
